I love people, technology and design. Funny enough, User Experience stand in the heart of all three. By using the psychology of persuasion, memory and attention, I create digital solutions that are not only intuitive but a pleasure to use. Currently, I am working at SapientNitro in London, a place where ideas reign supreme.
Graduated from University College London, I hold an MSc in Human Computer Interaction with Ergonomics. I also hold a BSc (Hons) in Interactive Systems Design from the Manchester Business School.
I am responsible for the navigation, organization, interaction design, and business/user process engineering for leading-edge Web solutions and software.
I apply user-centered design methods to translate user needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities into world-class business solutions.
A big factor in creating seamless user experiences is collaboration. At Sapient, I work closely with creative directors, art directors, graphic designers and developers to create engaging, effective and innovative solutions.

UCL Interaction Centre is a leading UK Centre of Excellence in Human-Computer Interaction teaching and research. We study interactions between people and technology, drawing on the best scientific traditions in Computer Science and Human Sciences, and working collaboratively with the research community and industry.
Manchester is recognised for its original thinkers: our long and proud history of research excellence continues the spirit of innovation and achievement for which the city is renowned. The School was one of the first two business schools in the UK (both founded in 1965). We’re ranked first in the UK for business research, and our doctoral programme was recently ranked number one in the world by the Financial Times. But world-class research alone is not enough. Our original thinking is applied for impact across business and management, government and communities.
Ampleforth College in North Yorkshire, England, is the largest Roman Catholic co-educational boarding independent school in the United Kingdom. It opened in 1802 and is run by the Benedictine monks and lay staff of Ampleforth Abbey.
"I managed Rico on his first project here at Sapient, he is a highly motivated and expressive individual with the knowledge and professional skill to back it up. His work ethic and humorous nature shined through to our clients providing them an enjoyable and professional experience with SapientNitro. Rico is working far beyond his career level and able to lead client meetings and workshops. Rico is a great asset to the Sapient team and would be a great individual to have on any team."
Gurmit Shakhon, Lead IA, SapientNitro
Rico is a shiny happy person - not Book of Mormon happy - and not overly amiable happy - just enough that everyone feels good around him - but not too much so that you think he's got no opinions and he isn't going to challenge you.
What I appreciated most about working with Rico - there were 2 things. One was that he came to me when he finished his work. Never underestimate the importance of this to a Project Manager. All day long I chase people - but never with Rico - when he was finished something he would let you know.
Two was that Rico was the same professional I knew weeks before Christmas and days before Christmas. While the rest of the office mentally checked out - our project was still going on and Rico was there outputting the same high quality of work.
Thanks Rico - I hope again to work with you
Cheryl Kitson, Project Manager, SapientNitro
"I have known Rico Chow for 13 years and I have to admit that his determination is one of the features that best describes him. He's always been very hard working and constant in his work, study and research. In addition to this, he's very loyal and trustworthy. I for one, have never had trouble trusting this young man, and he's always stood up for his friends and for what he's believed to be right, which proves he's got character and stamina as well as courage. Anyone to take Rico on in their team at work can be sure that they're taking onboard a fine team member indeed"
